Yes, I am that paranoid mom who is sometimes guilty of hovering over my child. I’m also a bit of a scrunchy mom who does her best to manage her child’s health with some organic foods but can’t resist making him happy with oreos. However, when it comes to his skin, I do my best to make sure it’s well-taken care of.
What’s so special about our skin?
Our skin is the protective layer of our body and the first thing people usually notice. So yes, it has a great deal of benefits, especially since it’s also known as our body’s largest organ. So as much as I can, I like to think I’m doing everything to protect my son’s skin during the important, developmental stages of his life — the stages I’m still able to control.
We’re quite lucky, because my son has beautiful skin. He fortunately hasn’t suffered from eczema or other skin issues many small children often face. Perhaps it’s because his dad’s side of the family has great skin or it may be the natural products I use on him. Whatever it is, I’m going to just keep doing what I’m doing and be grateful for his health as much as possible.
As my son grows, he is constantly getting scraped, bruised, bitten by bugs and because we live at the beach – sunburned. So ever since I heard of an amazing product called, Thaumaturgic Bio Mist, I knew I had to be fully stocked with it!
What is HOCL?
The thaumaturgic is completely 100% natural. It has one active ingredient, called HOCL. Now, being an overly cautious mom, especially when it comes to what I put in and on my son, I had to do my own research to find out exactly what HOCL is.
HOCL is short for Hypochlorous Acid, which might sound a bit scary, but is in fact a compound found in your white blood cells to protect your skin from pathogens and help aide in its healing process.
I LOVE this stuff! I use it for just about everything! In fact, I was once talking to a random lady about dry eyes and told her about the fact that HOCL is so gentle and natural, there are even solutions sold with HOCL to help those with dry eyes. I showed her my bio mist bottle and she took and without even asking, sprayed the stuff right on her eyes! It shocked me that she would be so trusting with it, but after just a few seconds, she opened her eyes and couldn’t believe how good she felt!
She instantly asked me where she could get some and said she’d be ordering a whole package of it! I suggested perhaps buying just one, but the company has great deals for bulk purchases. Plus, it’s got a shelf life of 2 years so it’s certainly ok if you don’t use it all too quickly.
10 benefits of HOCL on the skin
Besides the fact that HOCL is part of the protective process of your skin, it’s also helpful in 10 more amazing ways. Please note that I’ve been using this product for at least a year now and these are my very own findings!
- Bug Bites
- Dry Skin
- Dry Eyes
- Dry, Itchy Scalp
- Yeast Infections
For some reason, this year seemed to generate more bugs around the Southern California area than I’ve ever known it to have. Bugs surrounded just about every corner of my house at the early start of Spring. I had to call Pest Control to spray my house twice in one month!
My son and I were bitten like crazy! Oh, and don’t even get me started on the amount of scratching we both did. It was awful! Luckily we had the magic of Thaumaturgic Bio Mist to help cut back on some of the itching, not to mention fighting whatever bacteria or viruses these bugs were carrying!
We live at the beach. So this is a no-brainer. My entire family gets sunburned a lot. We know the importance of sunscreen lotion, but sometimes we just get too lazy to put it on. So naturally, when we’ve been in the sun for long periods of time, our skin could get quite red.
I worry most about my son when he gets burned because he say, “oweee!!!”
The bio mist helps A LOT and more often than not, the redness goes away in hours. Sometimes, however, it can last a couple of days but usually a lot less than what it normally would be without it.
I don’t have any tattoos but one of my really good friends and neighbor has quite a few. She seems to get a new one at least every few months. So when she does, she sprays bio mist on it to soothe herself from the pain and to create a faster healing process.
I sometimes get dry skin, especially on my face. When this happens, I wash it clean and then spray my bio mist on. I wait about 5 minutes for it to dry and then apply my serum and face cream. Dryness is sometimes gone over night!
See this picture below? This is what’s happened to every pair of pants my 6 year old has. He can play rough enough for this and does get scraped more times than I can handle.
Luckily, I always have my bio mist in my purse and ready for use to tackle any kind of bacteria or germs after a scrape or cut. In my opinion, it works better than Neosporin!
Rashes can be caused by many things, but it’s usually a result of what your body is rejecting. Most of the time, it can be quite itchy and inflamed. The rashes on the bio mist works really fast! In fact, a friend of mine (I really wished I’d taken a picture) had a really bad looking rash on her arm. So I grabbed my bio mist from my purse and just sprayed her. After only a few minutes, her rash went down significantly and her itching stopped! She was so surprised she asked if she could pay me for the bottle I had.
My friend has 3 boys with eczema. She says it’s in their genes and it runs in their family. So I gave her a bottle and she loves it. Her sons actually prefer it to the medicine they were given by the doctor because it’s more gentle and the itching usually stops right away.
I’ve mentioned this already above, but I do use it for my eyes quite often due to the effect my contact lenses have on me after just a few hours of having them on. I don’t know what it would do if I sprayed it on while my contacts are in my eyes but I usually remove them first before I apply it.
Redness and dryness is usually gone instantly!
There are different times of the year (usually when I get hot and sweaty) when my scalp feels dry and itchy. When this happens, I can’t help but act like I’ve got something living up there. Fortunately it’s usually just dry scalp.
I usually part the hairs on the sections I’m most itchy and just spray. Relief is instant!
I don’t like to talk about this, but I am a woman and I know it’s very common. Yeast infections can be caused by many things, including certain foods you eat, stress, heat and even tight clothing. For me, it happens more often than I’d ever like.
When I start to feel even the slightest tingle, I know immediately get the Thaumaturgic Bio Mist that’s stored right next to my shower. I spray it generously on and can honestly say I feel instant relief!
The Thaumaturgic Bio Mist is not just multi-purpose, kid-friendly, effective and easy-to-use (WOW! That’s a mouthful of goodness!), but it’s also safe! What more could a mom really need but something this great to tackle all their family skincare needs? It’s like a one-stop shop for skin mishaps!
