4 Game of Thrones Men Worthy of the Fatherhood Title
In honor of fathers (especially the good ones) everywhere, we would love to start this month off by talking about one of the best shows in the world and reminding everyone about their own dads and what it is that makes them so special. Game of Thrones doesn’t always have happy moments, but through all the drama, there still exists awesome men and dads.
4 Game of Thrones Men Who Deserve Their Fatherhood Titles
- Ned Stark
- Rob Stark
- Khal Drogo
- Samwell Tarly
There’s no question at all about Ned Stark’s love of fatherhood. He loved his wife, loved all his children equally, and showed his devotion to each one of them. No matter what the cost, he would have done anything to keep his family safe and in good hands.
Sadly, the end for this perfect dad was the beginning of a chilling series of adventures for his entire family and all the viewers around the world. The death of who we all thought would be the star of the show, came as a shock to many people who have learned to love this unique fantasy drama.
Ned Stark’s death came as a shock to everyone, informing us all about the lack of security of characters on the show. Any of our favorites could face their last episode at any given moment.
Rob Stark wasn’t a father yet, but his wife was with child and already he was showing his protective nature as a soon-to-be dad. He obviously wanted a better world and a seat on the iron thrown, just like all them, but his priority was his family.
Rob Stark had a very surprising and awful death. His wife and child were murdered right in front of him creating an instant numbness to everything else around him.
Rob Stark’s death scene sank hearts everywhere. A King, especially a hot-looking one, doesn’t normally die in stories. Also another reason we just have to go on watching!
He was a little scary to begin with. He’s a big man, handling a small woman. In the beginning, he was as you would expect from a savage. He was tough and didn’t quite know how to be gentle with her.
Over time, Khal Drogo fell in love with his Khaleesi and his gentle nature became difficult to miss. They suddenly became the most loved couple on television as the gentle giant showed his undying love for the future mother of his baby. He was a protector and the master of a tribe of a very scary group of people.
Surely, many people would have loved to see Khal Drogo’s joy when his child was born. Unfortunately, he too had a sad and shocking death. Of all things, he died of an infected wound. That’s right, couldn’t have been a more exciting death, right?
Here’s a man who didn’t grow up with the best role model in the world. In fact, Samwell Tarly’s father didn’t have a problem expressing his shame for his son. He called his son any horrible name he could think of and sent him away to Castle Black, denouncing his title as his first born son.
Despite the horrible relationship Sam had with his father, he still managed to be a good, loving man to a baby who wasn’t even his. His mission is to find a way to make sure his “new” family is well protected and living the best life they could possibly live.
Hopefully you’ve been following along with Game of Thrones and understand exactly what I’m talking about. If not, I’m a little jealous, because you still have the opportunity to watch the entire thing, back to back! This is the perfect show to binge watch with!
